Porcelain China-Seagull/Crown Ming Harmony Pattern Service For 8


⭕ Fine Porcelain China-Seagull/Crown Ming Harmony Verge (discontinued pattern 1102) 44-piece Service for 8 - rimmed in platinum with verge (the inner platinum ring on each piece)
Set includes: 8 dinner plates, 8 bread/salad plates, 8 saucers, 7 cups (1 cup is missing), 3 salad/soup bowls, 1 large vegetable bowl, 1 platter, 1 sugar bowl with the lid, and 1 creamer. The set is in like-new condition with the exception of minor damage to the platinum rim of one salad/soup bowl; there are a few tiny flecks missing from the platinum because someone tried to heat up something in the bowl in the microwave (the bowl is shown in picture 9)
The backstamp on each piece of the set is a Chinese inscription, a seagull, and MADE IN CHINA. As I learned from Customer Service at Replacements Ltd., a china replacement business in Greensboro, NC (http://www.replacements.com/info/customer_service.htm), Harmony pattern china came with varying backstamps depending on what factory the china was made at. Some sets had the SEAGULL backstamp, other sets had a CROWN MING backstamp, and other sets had a backstamp showing a crown or a cloud, but every set was marked MADE IN CHINA. I have inherited a great many things, the origins of which have proven very difficult to trace, but I can verify based on memory that this set of china is at least as old as the 1970s. $135 CASH ONLY
