SET Of 2 OIL PAINTINGS Cuba Cuban Shoreline BOATS City TOWN People
Vintage original Framed and signed (initialed) by the CUBAN ARTIST, B.C.F.
The family from which these came from lived in Midland, MI. and would
travel all around the world. When visiting these places they would by special
things from their trips. They would look for and buy things such as fine art to
quality Italian furniture... and unique items also gained their attention. The
more rare, unique or better quality of an item the better.
This set of paintings were one of the things they purchased on one of their trips
out of the country.
The family to which these paintings belonged had passed away many years ago.
These paintings were given to a friend of theirs along with some other exquisite
and unique items. Through some work I had done for them, I was given these
two paintings as part of my payment for the work they received.
BOTH paintings are done on a Masonite board and done in OIL PAINTS.
BOTH paintings are signed (initialed) by the artist. The initials are: B.C.F.
BOTH paintings are framed.
One painting is that of the Cuban shoreline / beach with boats (sailboats of fishing boats)
fishing nets, a pier (deck), huts, and it also features Cuban fishermen.
The other painting is that of a city-scape scene (possibly old town Havana, Cuba) with
the tall colorful buildings, balconies, stone (brick) street, sidewalks, Cuban people, etc.
The paintings need dusting, as they have been stored for several years now.
The paintings are in good vintage condition with some typical handling wear, but nothing major.
The frames have some chips, scratches and other wear. The nails that hold the paintings in the
frames are quite worn and do not hold the paintings very well.
BOTH of the paintings measure approximately: 29-3/4 x 13-3/4
One is Vertical and one is Horizontal, but they both measure the same.
NOTE: The measurement given is INCLUDING the frame.
