Overall this amp is in great condition, but it does have some small nicks in the tolex on the front edges of the cabinet. Everything works as it should, the tremolo is deep and full, and the reverb is lush and very quiet. There is nothing missing or broken and the 38-year-old grillcloth has a really nice patina is in excellent condition with no rips or tears. Original CTS ceramic speaker (137-8012) and original footswitch are included with the sale.
Just fully serviced by the top tech in this area. Complete cap job including power supply filter caps in the dog house and all cathode bypass caps and bias cap. Still has all the original Fender-labeled old stock preamp tubes, which were made by GE, and the original old stock rectifier. The preamp tubes tested excellent on his testers and are quiet with no microphonics or tube rattle. The tech installed fresh Sovtek smoked glass power tubes and biased a conservative 19mA for best tone and longest power tube life. The death cap was removed and power cable circuit was verified for modern UL compliance and utmost safety.
Basically what youre getting is a bone-stock vintage Deluxe Reverb that has been fully serviced by a pro who took no shortcuts in the service work. This amp sounds glorious exactly as offered and will provide years of trouble-free service, whether youre a pro player or a hobbyist. This amp was NOT Blackfaced or modded in any way whatsoever other than the described service.
