Current retail for the Classic Maple 3 piece shell pack is $3000, with a sale price of $2099, and does not include the snare. This sale is for a 4 piece shell pack, which includes the snare, and comes with The Beatles drum head. The snare alone currently sells for $520, which means youd pay $2620 for all 4 pieces.

Sale is for the 4 piece drum shell pack only. Selling only as a 4 piece set, no separate piece sales. All drum legs and Tom mounts are included. The Bass drum has a mounted cymbal arm which is also included. Sale does not include other hardware, bass pedal, snare stand, seat, cymbal stands or cymbals. Hardware packages can be bought at musiciansfriend.com, currently with a starting price of $79 for four pieces. Cymbal packages start at around $160, and a drum throne (seat) starts around $30. (Amp, drum hardware and cymbals in photos are for example only and not included with the sale)

Overall condition is excellent. Beatles Bass drum head has classic Ludwig logo and drums have classic badges. The drums have never been gigged by me. Since I purchased them they have sat in my basement on display with next to no play time. A couple of nicks and scuffs on the bass rim where the foot pedal is attached. The snare and small tom have some minor chrome flaking on the rims, but otherwise in excellent condition. Black Oyster Pearl wrap is excellent. The heads are like new, with no wear to speak of. Snare and Toms have REMO heads, Bass has Evans head. Save yourself almost $1000 dollars and get a classic maple Ludwig Fab 4 set with 4 pieces instead of 3, and a Beatles drum head. Use the money you save to buy the hardware and cymbal package that suits you.

Hand-crafted at Ludwigs manufacturing facility in Monroe, North Carolina, Classic Maples 7-ply shell is crafted to respond to the player and environment for any playing style or preference.

Classic Maples standard 7-ply, 6mm shell is formulated for optimum resonance and tonality. Its center three-ply core panel (laminated in a horizontal/vertical/horizontal grain bond to a 2.4mm thickness,) is inserted between inner and outer two-ply panels through a proprietary Radio Frequency Shell Technology (R.F.S.T.) molding process. Each drums bearing edge is cut to a 45-degree angle within 1/16 from the outside edge. This edge is hand-sanded to the craftsmans touch to assure a smooth, even, flat surface for easy head seating; the final touch to complete the unmistakable Ludwig Sound.

To increase stability through out the drum, all Ludwig USA shells are produced using a process involving their original bladder molds, R.F.S.T.s unique bonding system -combined with a specialized, time-tested adhesive- cures each shell evenly over the entire surface of the shell. This process is truly a principal ingredient in creating the Ludwig Sound in every shell they make.
