King Cleveland 602 Cornet


⭕ 1945 King Cleveland 602 Student Cornet with Large Case and Mouthpiece.

Instrument has been cleaned, completely disassembled and detailed, the leadpipe had a bunch of circular dinks that have been removed. New water key pads added, main body of the horn and bell are 95% lacquer and shows very nice overall. Bell shows a small crease mark around the edge, overall no creases and bell is straight. I took a couple dinks out of the back of the bell tail.

The case is in very good condition, I will include a cornet mouthpiece with the horn. Looks like the tuning slide got stuck at one point, I did not do the repair, but the lacquer is gone on the bottom tuning slide tube.

Threads cleaned, valves lapped, compression is EXCELLENT! 5 of 5, ready to play! This horn has stellar compression can I say 6 out of 5???... and plays wonderfully! A bit more of a cornet sound than later model 602s that are bit more trumpetish.

I am a collector of vintage instruments and a hobbyist repair technician focusing on student instruments and have close to 100 horns, plans are to open up shop in 2018 while Im collecting tools for the trade. My focus will be small bore brass, including trumpets, cornets, french horns and alto horns.
