⭕ FOR SALE:
From personal collection & before I change my mind. . . Gretsch G6175 Single Cutaway Acoustic Electric Bass. Serial number: 906175-35. Appears to be a June 1990 Model 6175, 35th unit produced by Gretsch Japan. Limited run Acoustic Bass with Piezo under-saddle pickup and onboard electronics. Nice quality and that unique Gretsch vibe! These early Japanese crafted models are becoming very hard to find, quite rare and are a huge value!
Some details: Single Cutaway body, spruce top, triangle sound-hole, three stripe bound body, floral pattern rosette, maple back/sides/neck, X-Bracing, 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, pearl scroll inlay at 12th fret, rosewood strings-through-bridge, bound blackface head-stock with pearl logo inlay, two-per-side gold tuners, active ceramic pickup, controls: volume, treble, midrange & bass, hardware gold-plated, Finish: Gloss Urethane, Machine Heads: Grover A Imperial/Gold Plated Die Cast Tuners, multiple body bindings, knurled strap retainer knobs, adjustable truss rod, Gretsch Orange Stain finish, Case: Gretsch hard shell velvet lined case with Gretsch logo.
Condition: Excellent. This bass has been played lightly &carefully and has spent most of its time in the case. Could almost call it mint but Im very picky & everyone judges condition a little differently so Ill call it excellent. No damage or scratches. Minor swirl marks on body from handling & polishing (very clean.) Very light &minor oxidation on gold tuners. Neck is smooth, straight & feels good. . . Case is clean & excellent with all latches working. All hang tags, card, tools, etc. . . Newly setup by my Pro-Luthier, neck adjusted, fretboard cleaned & dressed, new 9-volt battery installed along with a new set of DR Nickel Lo-Rider stings. Body is light with unique arm cut that makes this bass very comfortable to play.
Plugged in -- this bass soundshuge for an acoustic electric bass -- very impressive -- and of course -- that Great Gretsch Sound!!!Never played out; only in pet & smoke-free home studio. Bass comes with case, in-case humidifier, polishing cloth, hang tags & cards, tools, etc. . . keeping the strap in the pics. A very hard to find bass especially in this condition.
