97 Amer Std Tele W/Custom Shop Texas Specials And Extras, $800 OBO


⭕ Local only...A very nice 1997 ebony American Standard Telecaster with a fresh set of Fender Custom Shop Texas Special pickups installed. Sperzel locking tuners, wiring is standard parallel (N/NB/B) for the pickups so the twang is still there but with more growl and volume capacity. The guitar is in great condition, just a few marks, nothing into the wood, plastic still on white guard. The neck and board are great, with frets near new. Included is a WD pearloid Humbucker guard if you wanted to try out a different configuration someday. The original bridge pickup (no screws/springs) and a nearly new G/B Humbucker is also included. G/B makes some of the PRS SE pickups as well some other import electrics, ohms out at about 10k+ in series and around 5k+ for each coil. You can see a couple of demos on youtube of some of these, mostly shredders, but really good players. Cant vouch for the tone of the humbucker but the wiring checks out fine and the chrome cover is perfect, w/2 screws. Please excuse the shadows/ flashbacks in the pictures, black guitars are terrible to photograph accurately. Includes a great non-Fender hard case. I only meet face to face locally in public areas. NO SHIPPING.

PS...After some inquiries, the H/S routed body, not swimming pool, is original and was sold with S/S pickups, verified by Fender customer service guy. I replaced the tone cap which was .047 with a .022 orange drop which I prefer, but will include the loose .047 if you like. Just restrung with Fender 10s, set the truss rod which is the bi-flex type, tilt back set to neutral, intonation, bridge and pickups set to Fender specs.
