97 CUSTOM YAMAHA VIRAGO 1100 Cash Or Trade


⭕ OK, so heres the deal. I am 62 and frankly just not as comfortable riding as I used to be. Especially cause its so windy up in Lake Isabella where I now live and I have a really fun 4 wheel toy (Mini Cooper S). My 1997 Yamaha Virago XV1100 is a great bike with lots of custom parts. It has a batwing ferring with LED directionals. LED front marker lights with 55w H4 driving lights. Matching hard saddle bags and tour trunk all with extra LED turn signals, brake and tail lights. I custom made a drivers back rest and a redone seat making this bike extremely comfortable. Highway Hawk forward controls and a custom made heal shifter along with Kuriakin mini floor boards, offset extensions and hand grips. Mechanically the bike is as perfect as any 19 year old bike can be. I custom painted it electric blue to match my Mini Cooper. It has matching Kenda tires in like new condition as I have not ridden much in the last couple of years due to health.
I have, easily, spent over $6000 in repairs and custom work and I know its not worth anywhere close to that number. Still, I wont just give it away as it would look good just sitting in my garage. I will sell it, outright, for a decent price or trade it for something interesting that is worth at least $3500. Ive always wanted an MGB (pre-smog preferred), TR6 or Spitfire, an old Zcar or Datsun roadster, 914 or 944 or something that is or could be a track day car. I am open to an interesting, running, project. I would also consider a dual purpose bike like a KLR, BMW or V-STROM. Possibly even a motorhome. Of course, since I just bought a house, cash works too. I need a driveway.
