So Many good things to say about this motorcycle. A little about my story. I spent a year retrofitting everything that was possible to make this an around the world bike. I successfully traveled through 21 countries. I believe it to be the perfect bike for these types of endeavors or just to the grocery store. This one, was made as bullet proof as possible for any conditions one may run into. 98% of the time, it stayed on the pavement. The bike is not flawless, so you wouldnt have to worry about dropping it.- I have few times. Its built to be dropped. There are no dents on the metal and the plastic and fiberglass are all solid. Only minor abrasions. Its Farklicious. In that, If i could find an after market part that was better than stock, I added it. I dont have an exact monetary amount for the add ons, but I would say around 3000.00-4000.00.
A little about the KLRs. They are tried and true work horses. Single piston, carbureted, fun as hell. They are not terribly fast, but very reliable and easy to work on. I needed a bike that I could repair on the roadside, and find parts on the fly in other countries. It suited me well. They have been relatively unchanged for 20 years.
A little back story about this bike in particular. Coming across the border into the USA, a bolt came loose holding the camshaft. Everything got shredded in the top half of the engine. Its ALL new. The bottom half has normal wear, but the top half is probably still breaking in. A new camshaft, springs, rockers, piston rings, cylinder head, piston cylinder, valve seals, all new bolts and a magnetic drain plug. It runs perfect. I just finished doing a once over on the whole bike and its ready for anything you can throw at it. The battery tender did its job through the winter and the fuel stabilizer kept any degradation from happening in the fuel lines. The reason i am letting it go is because i bought a sport bike. Big change of style.

Seat just recovered yesterday.
Mixture screw for hand adjustment.

I kept all the original parts should you want to put them back on as well as some extras I never installed.

The helmet camera is a POV 1.5 with built in microphone. It has a remote that you can attach to the handlebars for ease of use. The mic can go inside your helmet. The helmet is nothing to special. A KBC brand XL (red to match the bike)
