Rail Car Planks

HISTORY : These are floor planks reclaimed from retired Railway Boxcars from the 1920s and 30s. This AMAZING reclaimed wood has traveled the rails of America for decades and wears the story of its life on its surface. They have a rich color and beautiful character marks as well as natural distressing that many attempt to replicate. The planks are formed in a Butcher Block style which makes the wood stable and prevents bowing and cupping.

USES : This wood is extremely easy to work with and is great for many Interior Design applications such as Countertops, Bar Tops, Center Island Tops, Fireplace Mantels, Veneers, and Flooring. SIZE / WOOD TYPE : Each Plank is 12 wide x 2 ¼ thick x avg 8 long. Each weighs nearly 9 lbs per square foot. The Planks come in Oak and Maple.

COST of Rail Car Planks : $40 per SQUARE foot / $320 per 8 Plank.

Cargo Planks

We have a fresh shipment of reclaimed Cargo planks. They are lap joint oak planks constructed in a butcher block style lamination. They have a wonderful grey patina and have years of wear on them. This is awesome for custom furniture makers , as flooring, wall planking, unique barn door and cabinet construction . This product looks great sanded and waxed or you can plane it off approx 1/16 to reveal a more modern look with a hint of wear. This product is difficult to obtain and we have a limited quantity.

SIZE / WOOD TYPE : The planks measure approx 1 3/8 by 12 wide and typical lengths are 9-115 ft. These are made from Oak. Each weighs nearly 6 lbs per square foot.
COST of Cargo Plank: This is priced at $14.00 per sq foot / $140 per plank.
