MASSIVE 12FT.CONFERENCE/DINING TABLE

FOR SALE here is a totally hand crafted ,timber framed table made from reclaimed Douglas fir .I obtained the materials from Kentucky.They were massive 16 x10 beams over 20 ft. long.We milled them into the needed planks and timbers and hand selected the very best pieces for this table.
Once the materials were sawed at the mill ,almost the entire build was done without the use of power tools.I only used a band saw to cut the two arch shaped timbers underneath.The top is hand planed and sanded as are the rest of the timbers.I even made the dowels by hand using a draw knife and shave horse.Hand saw ed to lengths ,hand drilled with a brace and bit.
The finish is a plant based hand rubbed oil finish from Earth paints in North Carolina.[see photo]
In my opinion ,you will be hard pressed to find a table closer to an actual 19th century build.This is a totally one off original design I came up with.I was inspired by the antique Hammer Trusses you see in many European building dating back hundreds of years.
