BIG ROUNDS:
39 - 1500# net-wrapped grass with alfalfa (10% or less alfalfa). These bales were all scale weighed, and ranged from 1450-1650# each. Well call them 1500# and be confident youre getting all you pay for. All good quality, were feeding our horses (barrels and roping) the very same stuff right now. Suitable for all livestock. Really good all-purpose hay. $135 each.
29 - 1360# plastic twine wrapped grass/alfalfa mix bales! These are just what wed been searching for. 60% grass (crested wheatgrass, brome, orchardgrass) with 40% alfalfa. Put up as well as can be done---green all the way through! This is high quality first cutting hay---$135 each.
BIG SQUARES:
13 - 3 x 3 x 8 big square bales of 4th cutting alfalfa with some grass regrowth---10-20%. BEAUTIFUL green and leafy bales. These bales did go straight to the shed from the field-all green, no discoloration at all. 835 pounds each. $100 per bale. Can haul 18-20 of these per load if you have a machine to unload.
2 - 3 x 3 x 8 big square bales of 4th cutting alfalfa weighing in at 940# average. Lovely bales that were carefully, professionally tarped and anchored in the field and on their way into our shed. 24% protein and 216 RFV! This will put the shine on, improve milking ability, add weight, or add energy into a diet for any creatures youre feeding. $100/bale. Hauling up to 18 of these per load.
HERE and NICE: 104 - 2nd cutting alfalfa/grass big square bales (3 x 3 x 8) weighing 890# each. Supreme quality hay! 70-80% alfalfa with remainder grass. 16% protein and 162 RFV---a great ration for a milking mother, calves, lambs, anything that needs a boost of energy. Would fit well in the pen with a well-loved horse too. One truck is still inbound (1 loads of 55 bales)---call to get a delivered price (if youd take a whole load of 55). 33 - 2nd cutting orchardgrass/alfalfa mix in 3 x 4 x 8 big squares. Actual scaled weight: 1750#. Come & get em! $165 each for the 8 that had soil contact in the stack. $175 per bale for the 28 pristine ones. These will load in the back of a pickup just like the bundled small square bales.
SMALL SQUARES:
Straight orchardgrass, in bundles of 21 square bales. All bales sent straight to the shed after baling/bundling. These bundles are similar in size to a 3 x 4 x 8 big square bale, and can be loaded with the tractor into the back of a pickup, flatbed, or even slid into a horse trailer! No need to throw bales if you buy in multiples of 21! We are certainly willing to open a bundle for customers who need fewer than that though. 468 - 1st cutting orchardgrass weighing 47-50 pounds. As is typical with grass in first cutting, this is a bit more coarse than the 2nd cutting, but still fantastic quality. No waste when you feed this! $8 per bale.
169 - 2nd cutting prairie grass mix bales weighing approx. 50 pounds. Very nice soft green bales. In bundles of 21 that we can easily tractor load! $8.50 each.
357 - 2nd cutting straight brome grass bales weighing 55# each. Nice, clean, green grass hay---good for any kind of critter on a grass diet! $8.50 each. Bundled in 21-bale bundles, but willing to open the bundle.
34- small square bales of certified weed free-1st cutting-80% brome/bluegrass with 20% alfalfa weighing 60#. Stored in the barn, green as the day we baled them! $11 each. These bales each receive the mandatory identification tag to prove they are CERTIFIED WEED FREE (by the State of SD Department of Agriculture and accepted by all surrounding states), as required for use on public lands (Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service, National Park Service).
243 - 4th cutting straight alfalfa. Dairy quality! Beautiful green alfalfa, never even saw a night outside! Weight is 65-70 pounds. $10 each, and theyre worth it. 24% protein and 216 RFV---high-powered hay!
131- small square STRAW bales. Nice clean soft straw perfect for livestock bedding, archery/BB gun backstop, doghouse insulation, and so on! $6.50 each. (More coming soon!)
