ON THE GROUND:
Super easy going horse. What an accomplishment this horse had done in 30 days. Rosco here has been very easy going on the ground and progressed rather quickly through training. Has not been reactive or problematic to work with. He has gone through the 30-day City Slicker Horsemanship program. Before that there really is no known information on him. He has been built from the ground up to make sure he is rideable and controllable under saddle. This guy is a beautiful mover and follows ground lessons very willingly and respectfully.


UNDER SADDLE:
Rosco moves great under saddle. He is controllable, extremely soft and has a bit of a Reiner feel to him. He is soft throughout all four parts of his body (head, shoulder, mid-section and hind quarters). Rosco will walk, trot, canter on a loose rein and back nicely. Rosco moves out nicely by just a gentle squeeze of your calves. Squeeze again and you go to the next gate and so on, sit in the set and he shuts down. He responds nicely and willingly. He has had a few different riders on him including a 12yr old girl so that he could get used to being ridden by different types of people and different riding styles and he has handled them all calmly and with no problems.

Rosco is still in the beginning stages where I would say he would still need an intermediate to experienced rider. He gets confused once in a while trying to anticipate your cue and just needs a person to correct and show him what is being asked. He has not been flighty, reactive or problematic under saddle.

CONDITION & CARE:
Rosco has been regularly boarded in a community type boarding situation. His pasture is accommodated by many other horses and gets along well with others in the herd. He has also been stalled and got exposed to the stall life a bit while in training. This horse is up-to-date on his vaccination. He stands for the Farrier and trailer loads.
