The arch on the Corsair evaporator is a revolutionary design, fully convertible from Conventional draft to Forced draft in an instant. The airtight front gives you a critical advantage in efficiency and performance whether youre running the forced air kit or if you choose to keep things simple with natural aspiration.
The large loading door nicely compliments the large combustion chamber. Being fully airtight, this door will ensure that no cold air will be pulled along the pan, negatively effecting evaporation rate and efficiency.
The Corsair arch is fully steel framed. The entire perimeter is built as strong as possible, giving you confidence when filling the pans above it with your precious liquid and igniting an intense fire inside it. Additionally, the arch will fit the geometry of whatever pan set you plan to use on it, forcing the pan to take full advantage of the heat created within.
If the arch is ordered with forced draft, the grates will be the appropriate domed cast iron type and the blower will come mounted and ready to plug in. If the arch is ordered as a conventional draft, there will be a perforated knock out and mounting studs at the rear to accommodate a future forced air kit. If the time comes where you need more performance, just remove the knockout, mount the blower and replace the steel grates with the perforated domed cast iron grates.
The arch utilizes a base stack which transforms from the round stack pipe to a rectangular hub which covers the entire width of the arch. Is is absolutely important to properly spread the heat from the firebox across the entire width of the pans.
The pans are the very ones that we are known for. They are extremely high output, containing 11 raised flues or 10 drop flues. Crucially, we use high grade 22ga stainless steel in the construction of all of our pan sets to insure efficient heat conduction from the fire to the sap. There are no features missing from these pans. Each set comes with state of the art float boxes, drawoff boxes, drain manifolds, sight glasses, and a very strong structured top profile. The dividers in the syrup pan are formed right into the pan making a water tight seal and an exceptionally strong floor- the dividers are not welded in.
SSR OPTION: The same side reverse option for these pans costs an extra $650.00. This enables you to easily reverse the flow in the front pan without ever moving the pan or dealing with plugs. Reversing flow is as simple as swinging the handles of two stainless steel ball valves. The SSR has been greatly improved for the 2016 pans, especially for those using an auto-draw-off system. Our SSR System is now the best in the industry, it is fully cross flow and now has only one syrup outlet regardless of flow direction. See the attached picture of this new SSR assembly.
