Vintage Akai 4000 DS MKII Reel To Reel Player Recorder


⭕ 3 head, 4 track 2 channel Stereo/Mono with track select, mic & line inputs and controls, sound on sound, 7 ½ or 3 ¾ speeds with switchable EQ and low noise or wide range tape support. Includes capstan sleeve and take up reel.

What does Fully serviced mean? For most electronics, it means:
* Cabinet opened up and dust blown out
* Visual inspection of boards for signs of overheat or component failures, replaced as necessary
* Visual inspection of solder joints for cracking, cold joints, etc , reflowed as necessary
* Main power caps checked for proper capacitance and ESR values, replaced as necessary
* Potentiometers, switches, sliders, jacks etc dust blown out, cleaned and lubricated with Deoxit.
* Inspection of any belts/tires/etc for cracking/melting/sponginess/etc, replaced as necessary
* Inspection of any springs, replaced as necessary
* Inspection of ALL lamps. Replaced as necessary, even if still working but too weak to provide even lighting
* Exterior cleaning, including handled sources (knobs/keys/etc.) sanitized
* Lubrication of motor bearings/axle and all interior moving friction parts
* Recording and playback heads cleaned and demagnetized
* Full checkout of *every* feature!
