BRONZE STATUE, BOY AND DOG


⭕ Bronze statue depicting a boy standing and reading a book with dog next to him. Reproduction of a commemorative statue at the Worthington-Jefferson Township Public Library in memory of Robert E. Hord, Sr.

Under Hords leadership, the ASAF (Aileen S. Andrew Foundation) gave out over 800 college scholarships and funded schools, libraries, hospitals, police and firefighting departments and facilities. The word funded, in Hords case, does not mean he just made a nice donation -- it means fully funded major projects, like a library in Orland Park, Ill., the Illinois firefighters training facility, and the Worthington Municipal Building.

This is a fairly faithful reproduction made to scale using the same lost-wax casting method.
