Considered by many the greatest pin-up of all time, Bettie Page made her first Playboy appearance January 1955. Bettie was the ultimate model of the postwar pin-up era and her picture in Playboy wearing naught but a Santa Claus hat and smile while trimming a Christmas tree is considered a milestone in the history of the magazine.
Bunny Yeager who photographed the famous picture had heard about a new mens magazine called Playboy and decided to send the photo to them. Hugh Hefner answered back right away and offered Bunny $100 for the picture, and the rest is history.
What is most interesting about Bettie is that in 1957 she simply vanished. Her 38-year absence and often-turbulent life only heightened her mystique, and today her adoring fans number in the millions. Playboy, Celebrity Productions, Bettie Page and Bunny Yeager have joined together to bring you this classic figurine of Bettie Page Trimming Christmas Tree; Circa 1954.
This Special Limited Edition historic tableau stands 16-inches-high, is made of cold-cast porcelain, with each individual piece painted by hand. The tree is decorated with real glass ornaments and working Christmas lights. Bettie Page herself has approved the tableau, and has her signature embossed on her Playboy plaque. Each piece is individually numbered, and comes with its own Certificate of Authenticity. To insure the integrity of each tableau, a specially designed holographic identification tag has been installed to guard against tampering or fraud. This piece is limited to only 5000 pieces worldwide.
