-2005 Volvo D1-13 Inboard Diesel w/103 Hours

Anyone who is familiar with classic bluewater sailboats is aware of the importance of the Pearson Triton, it is the first production fiberglass sailboat, built in the age of Plastic Classics, they dont make them like this anymore. This is a great design and size; small enough to single hand easily, and large enough for 4 people to sail and sleep comfortably. It has nice sailing characteristics, it points upwind very well, tacks easily, and is very seaworthy with a full keel and with a heavy 8,000lb displacement. This particular boat was owned by a serious cruiser in the 1970s and 1980s, and sailed to and from the Bahamas frequently.

Included Equipment
-1 Mainsail
-3 Jibs/Genoas of various percentages
-1 Storm Jib
-Jabsco Head w/ soft holding tank
-Motor oil
-Dock box w/various cleaning supplies
-Adult life jackets
-Heavy duty deep cycle marine House and Start batteries
-Medium weight Danforth anchor with 60ft chain, 200ft rode

The Good
-Volvo diesel was installed new in 2005, has low hours (103) and has been well maintained
-Balsa deck core is in great condition, there is no rotting or soft spots on the deck, it is completely structurally sound
-The new engine and structural soundness are two of the most expensive repairs or upgrades that older sailboats need, and they are taken care of on this boat
-Includes 4 head sails and a mainsail, all in good/new condition
-Has custom built teak woodwork throughout the cabin, including custom lockers, a collapsable dinette, and beautiful work in the forward cabin. I have never seen another Triton with custom woodwork like this, I believe it was done sometime in the 1970s.
-Has custom plaid cushions that fit the custom woodwork, they are very comfortable.

The Bad
-The electrical system has been completely stripped, including disconnecting all electronics and accessories. I had to remove 50 years of wiring to start fresh, and unfortunately had to move away in the middle of that project. Still included are a VHF, Depth Sounder, Fishfinder, new Bilge Pump, and Navigation lights, but they are not currently connected to a bus or battery. It is a blank slate, waiting to be wired to your personal schematic. The engine and electronic start are still connected and work perfectly, I have sailed it dozens of times since stripping the wiring with no issues. It is currently just suitable for day sailing until somebody reinstalls new wiring to the navigation lights.
-It is about due for bottom paint, the last cleaning and coat was in early 2014
-Topside was poorly painted by previous owners, and chips, the deck is very sound but could use new paint for cosmetic reasons
-Starboard coaming board is cracked
-Cockpit teak trim is due for refinishing, primarily for cosmetic reasons
-Cabin floor will need rebuilding at some point, it was poorly repaired by a previous owner.

This has been an awesome boat for me. I have been sailing my entire life and got my hands on my own boat when I was 19. I sailed it up from Georgetown, and have sailed it out of Little River Inlet often since 2014. I am 22 now and just moved to Nashville for work, and unfortunately need to sell it. It is currently a great day sailor, and with some work can become a great cruiser again.

Please email me with inquiries, I live out of town now, but I can answer any questions and schedule a sea trial, which my friend or father, a OUPV licensed captain, will guide you on.

Thanks for reading.
