Kefir Grains For Making Your Own Kefir - Natural Probiotics

Milk kefir grains are live active cultures consisting of yeast and bacteria. Adding the kefir grains to fresh milk yields a delicious probiotic yogurt like beverage in about 24 hours. Kefir grains originated from the Northern Caucasus Mountains where they have been used for over a thousand years to produce this living culture from milk.

I am selling a generous 1 tablespoon of organic milk kefir in a food grade container that has been lovingly taken care of. I only use grass-fed whole milk, non-homogenized and non-ultra pasteurized and use culture friendly nylon strainer and food grade plastic utensils to grow our milk kefir grains in glass jars. My grain has not been frozen or dried in the past and are very healthy.

Kefir is excellent for your health. There are many videos you can watch to make it thrive. You need to get the first batch to get started as it cannot be created. If you are new to it, I would be happy to demonstrate how to make and take care of kefir grains.

I usually recommend 2 tablespoons to make a cup to start. Kefir grains will start growing so you will be able to make a larger batch for your family. 1 tablespoon of Kefir grains is recommended to ferment about a cup of milk.

You can also make whey for jump starting your fermented food from Kefir grains and milk.
