Breedlove Atlas Series AC200/SM Acoustic Guitar is it. A solid Sitka
spruce top provides a superb soundboard for resonant and clear tones
and a comfortable, slim neck shape and low action delivers uncompromised
playability. The Atlas Series AC200/SM Guitar combines innovative
Breedlove design elements with quality construction.
Features mahogany back and sides, a black bound body and neck,
abalone rosette with black border, pearl dot inlays, satin finish, and
chrome Grover tuners.

Breedlove crafts acoustic instruments that reflect the principles of
uncompromising craftsmanship, environmental consciousness, and customer
focus. The best aspects of traditional guitar making are fused with new
ideas and relevant technology to create instruments with unsurpassed
tone, feel, and visual appeal.

Each spectacular guitar in the Atlas Series is designed and engineered
to attain these same qualities at an accessible price. They feature
scalloped bracing, a pinless bridge, a dual-action truss rod, and the
JLD Bridge Truss System. The bridge, fingerboard, and peghead overlay
on each model is made from Indian rosewood and tops are crafted from
solid wood. They have an ebony end pin, dovetail neck joint, and a
slightly narrower nut (1-11/16). All guitar models have the same low
string action for fast, comfortable playing. Theyre all set up and
hand-inspected at Breedlove headquarters and come strung with
light-gauge DAddario EXP strings.

Great tone

This guitar is a Winner!
I bought this AC200/SM used; they dont make this model anymore, and I
think I know why---it was too good for its price range in relation to
how much time it took to build it! The look of it has style and
uniqueness, and its sound is well balanced, not boxy as so many
other guitars in this price range are. One thing I am amazed at is how
substantial and solid the neck is---the weight of this guitar will
surprise you, but in a good way, as the neck affects the tone.Im sure
the JLD Bridge Truss system also lends well to the balanced, piano
style distinct tone that the higher-end Breedloves are so well known
for.
excellent val;ue, killer tone

Best acoustic guitar under a $1,000. Period. I own jumbo gibsons
and vintage martins and always a little hesitant to take them out,this
one I take everywhere. This guitar sounds excellent recorded and plays
great through a PA with a simple pick up. Worth every cent.

Great Guitar

I always wanted a Breedlove, but cannot afford a custom model.
I played the Atlas models at my local guitar store and was amazed at
how good they sound at about 1/2 the price of a comparable Taylor.
I bought the concert style as it it a bit smaller than the dreadnought.
Amazing sound--deep and rich. Before you buy a Taylor, check these out!


I got this guitar for Christmas. I wanted a Breedlove and after playing
one locally, it was settled. Guitar costs about 1/2 of a comparable
Taylor but has a much mellower sound (Taylors sound bright to me).
This guitar is terrific. Fun to play and sounds really great.


I bought this guitar from a local shop after playing my moms old
acoustic for a couple years. After playing a couple higher-end guitars
(at the shop), I played the Breedlove and was surprised by how resonant
it was for its price. I loved the action and contours too. I recommend
it.
