Skutt Kiln


⭕ SKUTT 1231 production kiln, 3 section, 7 peeps, with computerized controls. Inside dimensions of 8-sided kiln are 28 wide x 31 high.
12 years old, used very little, in storage since 2007. In excellent condition, has 2 dings, see photos. One is in soft brick back wall (fell in with full shelf!). There is also a hairline crack in the floor. Kiln wash would fill that. I always fired
with a shelf at the bottom.
You can set your own
programs for bisque or glaze. (ramp,
hold (soak), max temp, cooldown
cycles). You can slump and
fuse glass with this model as well, by
setting up annealing schedule. Manual for programming controls comes with kiln.
Selling because I need to go to something shorter, just cant reach the bottom for loading/unloading anymore. You will need to get furniture for kiln.
After you remove the computer controller for transport, the kiln comes apart into 3 sections. Each section has handles. It has a 4-legged base. Manual includes schematics for reassembly of controls. Stored at my home, no stairs to load.

This unit retails new right now for $4220.
