This is the Badger Model 480-3 Trillion Air Oil Reciprocating Piston Compressor.
Im not going to waste a lot of words here going into details and specifications... As if youre in the business, you already know all about this unit.
I had purchased this some years back for a brand new hobby I was going to get into, but stage 4 cancer, chemotherapy treatments, and just a lot of other issues I wont bore you with, prevented all that.
So this sat on my workbench for some years, had never been used, had never even been plugged in.
In fact I never even pulled all the paperwork out of it to read up on it, so I dont even know all that much about it.
I do know it was damn expensive, and was the highest recommended air compressor when I purchased it.
Also, for a small thing, its also damn heavy!
Or maybe just through the years, with all Ive been through, on top of just plain getting older, it feels heavier to me than it used to...
So here it is, (a bit dusty from just sitting), but still unused, like brand new, and I believe, this particular model is now discontinued and no longer available.
No doubt, probably replaced by some cheap overseas import, that frustrates the hell out of those professionals, every time they need to do that perfect job for a customer, or even for themselves.
If you are a professional, you know what this particular unit is, what it does, its great reputation in the industry, and of course, what they cost...
Naturally, I cant ask new pricing for this... (after all this time the warranty has probably expired), and I dont have the original box or packaging for it.
But I cant give it away either. I did originally pay retail pricing for it, plus those damn old taxes, and shipping.
Im going to at least try and figure what might be fair for a item like this, that had never ever been used. Naturally from a sellers point of view, Im quite sure any potential buyer will see things from a much different point of view, lol!
But Ill give this the old try, and see what happens.
I had learned that this model was a discontinued item when I had done some price checking on the internet. I had seen a lot of references to it on the internet, with suggested retail prices of as much as $1200, some in the $1000 range, then many discointed down to about the $750 range, (some with taxes, and of course shipping chsrges).
However just about all listings I had come across had stated out of stock, or something to that effect. Even an ebay listing was gone. Meaning, that no one has these any more.
So Im at a loss to try and decide what to ask for this, as it seems as though, I have the only new one available for sale.
I mean, mine is only missing the original packaging... and again, just a little dusty.
Again, seeing that no one has any of these, at any low advertised price claimed, Im going to try my luck, (HaHa, if it werent for bad luck, I wouldnt have any luck at all!), and start at that $750 asking price.
And oh... I may be intetested any possible trading/bartering as well, however in my attempts in downsizing, (and in my whole life).
Im afraid my list is a very short one. I do have a slight interest in a couple particular firearms, possibly a small trailer, or maybe some carpentry work done, (naturally by an experienced carpenter. I need a custom couch built...). Thats about all I can think of at the moment, but always open to suggestions too.
And I would only discuss that with a serious interested party.
