⭕ This is just an FYI to anyone buying antiques or anything on .

is plagued by SCAMMERS who reply to placed ads JUST TO GAIN the sellers phone number, text address or email address. They sell these addresses to companies for advertising purposes.

It is a sad thing because sellers put a lot of work into their ads and get fake responses daily!

I receive about 20 emails that say Interested in your item. Is it still available? If I respond, I am added to a fake email generating scammer list. I delete these emails and texts right away EVEN THOUGH THEY COULD BE LEGITIMATE. There is every chance that it is a buyer who just did a quick response. I dont know but 99% of the time it is a scammer.

Here is an email or text I would respond to. I saw your ad for the antique sewing machine. I would love to come see it. I am in Wallingford. ... Something like that. Something with some information that relates to the ad and proves that it is a person who read your ad.

Dont copy and paste the ad title. That is a scammer tell too! ex. I am interested in your ANTIQUE 1900s SINGER SEWING MACHINE. When can I see it?

Scammers have software that will mass scan for titles and send out fake responses.

It is not perfect world but if you are interested in something on , please take the time to create a proper response to an ad. You will get a reply. I hope this helps everyone!
