Early 1900s Dover Sad Iron

**This was used for lace
**American made
**Latch turns freely to secure the weight
**Nice black handle and shape (very good condition)
**Interesting piece

Measures 4 inches (H) X 4 3/4 inches (L) X 2 1/2 inches (W)

The Dover Sad Iron has a detachable handle for pressing irons. This permits a person to heat a number of iron bodies on a stove, attach the handle to one and iron with it until it cools, then attaching it to another heated iron body. Irons could be heated at one time and exchanged when it cools off with a ready hot one.
